I went during the whole Swine Flu scare. I said if the border open, then I'll be there. My wife and I enjoyed the stay. Once we arrived there was a 10-15 min delay with the room, however front-desk guy suggested a drink at the pool side bar, which we did. The rooms were comfortable, nothing special, the floors had a slight damp feel to it. No worries thought, with all the booze I hardly noticed. The food was alright in all three restaurants. The italian one suggests a reservation however, not a real issue if one not made, but do dress in nice(slacks gents). I found myself eating often in the bottom restaurant by the pool area, decent little menu during lunch/dinner. Now stay away from the beer guys. Ugh! Now there is another resort(same chain, more kid friendly though) maybe 50 ft away that offer the good stuff(Bud, Miller, etc) and they offer a GREAT morning buffet. Pool area was relaxing, more so than the beach. The vendors are unrelenting, and do not know what "no gracias" mean, hence me staying by the pool. Yet after 24 hrs you learn and start to take in their stories and suggestions of the area. Shopping on the Malecon was wonderful at the different vendors. Yes, and expect a very light ran shower everyday for about 10 mins in the mountains as the tide comes in, unique and special. The hotel offered a bus tour, not sure if that was promotional/complimentary or not, but worth the time of day and look for the sea food hut! OMG great! FYI :Timeshare tours STAY AWAY!!! not worth the time

This is one of the best hotels for kids I've ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. The closest thing I have to a complaint is that the buffets don't hold up to some of the other all-inclusives I've stayed at (but they are still quite good).

This place is exceptional. The staff are helpful and attentive and they offer great food, wonderful entertainment and even free babysitting and a great kid's club. We went with our 5 and 7 year old and they could not have loved it more. None of us has any complaints whatsoever. We returned last night and are booking our return trip today. The property is immaculate and the value can't be beat! The splash park is beyond words, the pictures do not do it justice and there were actitivities daily from 9 am on for both the kids and adults.

our family recently spent 9 days and the only real complaint I have is with the beds.. Ouch!!! I'm a pretty fit guy, but those beds are hard and had my back hurting all week :(. Other than that..this place was great!! My wife and I consider ourselves travellers more than tourists and the all inclusive thing is definitely a tourist thing... not our cup of tea, but since we've had a little nugget, we've had to learn to compromise on some things Room - Room was immaculately maintained all week, as was the entire hotel in general. The only mess I noticed was caused by slobs at the pool who would eat and leave their plates there. ( which would be picked up by staff whenever they saw them ). Pools - Huge kiddie pool, heated.. my daughter ( 2.5 years ) loved it. Big pool ( about 4/5-5ft deep ).. my daughter loved it. Food- everything was fresh, well prepared and presented in the buffet restaurants. I'm not a buffet type person, but was happy to see that the food was cooked and presented with care, and with quite a variety. there is a snack bar on the beach with burgers, dogs, etc, along with fresh chicken and salads The three restaurants -- Italian - Was our best meal there.. my wifes pasta was gluey as expected but my steak was well prepared and tasted great. Japanese - they tried hard.. and everything clean and fresh, but it was as japanse as I am. French - didn't care to go. If you like the olive garden or those kinds of places... you'll love these restaurants. Bottom line.. your kids will love it.. which is the only reason to go here.. and your kids will love you for it

We had the best vacation ever staying at this hotel. We became friends with all of the staff and got to know them by name and we actually enjoyed tipping them because they were so cool and we were sad to say goodbye to them. Great restaurants, great room service, great pools and beach. We are already planning our trip to this same hotel for next year. Only 1 minor downfall: the beds were small and hard, but we were rarely in our room anyway, but a comfy bed would have been nice. No big deal though, we give this hotel a 100% recommendation. It is right next to the harbor if you plan on taking boat tours you can walk to the harbor in 2 minutes, and $ in pesos to get to the airport by taxi.
